Research statement

My research interests lie in the intersection of environmental politics and global governance. I was particularly interested in finding novel ways of measuring and evaluating the social legitimacy and effectiveness of global governance responses. How global governance institutions cope with climate-induced environmental change and the related security risks was the focus of my dissertation.

Research context

Mistra Geopolitics Project (2017-2020)

Sustainable development in a changing geopolitical era: Challenges and opportunities for Sweden.

I worked within the work package on governance responses to climate-related security risks at Stockholm University, which set out to understand how global governance responds to climate security challenges. The research was funded by the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Environmental Research (Mistra) and Stockholm University.

The programme brought together six Swedish core partners: the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI), the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), and the universities of Linköping, Lund, Stockholm, and Uppsala.
